Englishman Nick Mead found five gold bars worth more than $2,500,000 in a Russian T54/69 tank he purchased on eBay for $37,500. The tank was used during the gulf war and the gold is believed to have been looted by Iraqi soldiers during the Kuwait invasion.
Mead has a collection of over 150 military vehicles and runs Tanks-a-Lot, which gives people the chance to drive his tanks on his farm in Heldon, England. While in the process of restoring the tank he discovered the gold bullion inside the fuel tank. After his remarkable discovery Nick called the police to report his unexpected find over concern he would not be able to covert the gold into cash without questions being asked.
